Brewing a cup of Nishanti Blue Pea Infusion is an invitation to slow down. Follow these simple guidelines to awaken the color, aroma, and magic of our handpicked blossoms.
1. Temperature and Proportions
- Water: Use freshly boiled spring or filtered water, heated to 90°C – 95°C.
- Blossoms: Use 4 to 5 dried blossoms (approx. 1g) for a standard cup (200ml).
- Teaware: We recommend using clear glass or white ceramic cups to enjoy the visual transition.
2. The Steeping Phase
- Pour hot water over the blossoms.
- Allow the infusion to steep undisturbed for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Watch as the water slowly shifts from transparent to a deep, cobalt blue. Strain the blossoms before drinking.
3. The Color Metamorphosis
The blue color of our infusion is derived from natural anthocyanin pigments, which are sensitive to pH changes.
- The Citrus Shift: Squeeze a slice of fresh lemon or lime into your blue cup. Watch as the infusion instantly transforms from deep blue to a vibrant, royal purple.
- The Sweet Accent: Add a drop of organic honey or raw sugar to balance the earthy, woodsy notes of the blossoms.
- The Cool Ritual: Pour the steeped blue infusion over ice blocks and top with cold tonic water for a cooling summer infusion.
